On 21st January 2025, SDPPI issued an announcement stating that there has been a change in the name of the agency from the Directorate General of Postal and Informatics Resources and Equipment (SDPPI) officially changed to the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID). What does impact from SDPPI changed to be DJID against the certification process? Let’s discuss further in this article.
PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 202
This official announcement was made after the regulation of PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 2025 issued and came into effect as the enactment date on 10th January 2025. This regulation basically has changed overall organization outlook in the Ministry and most of the General Directorate under the Ministry.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital is a ministry that organizes government affairs in the field of communication and information, which also known as KOMDIGI. Changing in the ministry name, previously the Ministry of Communication and Informatic (KOMINFO), also results in a change in the ministry logo. You can refer to below for comparison for these logo and name changes.
Old ministry logo and name

Description: the geometric shape that forms three fields that optically originate from one central point rotating and spreading/widening, symbolizing the increasing of quality communication access and postal, equal and affordable services.
New ministry logo and name

Description: the design is boxy with a woven motif, symbolizing close collaboration and inclusivity.
Based on the regulation of PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 2025 about the organization and work procedures of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, it is stated that right now the certification services for telecommunications equipment are under the General Directorate of Digital Infrastructure, and specifically organized by Directorate of Digital Infrastructure Services.
Although the regulation came into effect on 10th January 2025, the full implementation of the change from SDPPI to DJID was officially carried out on 20th January 2025. It means that starting from 20th January 2025 and onwards, the naming on the certificate number no longer uses SDPPI, but has changed to DJID. Likewise, the use of the logo, certificates and QR codes issued on 20th January 2025 and onwards have used the KOMDIGI logo.
In the PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 2025, it is described that the General Directorate of Digital Infrastructure has tasks of formulating and implementing policies in the field of digital infrastructure in Indonesia. In order to carry out these tasks, DJID is composed of several sub-organizational consisting of:
- Secretariat of the general directorate
- Directorate of digital infrastructure strategy and policy
- Directorate of radio frequency spectrum arrangement, satellite orbit, and digital infrastructure standardization
- Directorate of digital infrastructure services
- Directorate of digital infrastructure acceleration
- Directorate of digital infrastructure control
Duties of the Directorate of Digital Infrastructure Services
It is also mentioned in PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 2025, the duties of the directorate of digital infrastructure services are including performing the formulation and implementation of policies, monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting in the fields of:
- Radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbit license
- Radio operator certification
- Special telecommunications certification
- Registration of digital infrastructure for the public
- Certification of telecommunications equipment, and digital devices
- Handling of radio frequency spectrum usage rights fees
- Handling of costs for issuing certification of telecommunications equipment
It can be concluded that all activities related to the implementation, monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting of certification of telecommunications equipment are within the authority and responsibility of the Directorate of Digital Infrastructure Services, DJID.
What impact will this change have?
There must be many manufacturers and distributors are questioning the impact of the change in the agency’s name and logo on the certificates of telecommunications equipment, especially the one that have been issued before 20th January 2025.
The change of agency name and ministry logo do not have any impact to certificates issued before 20th January 2025. All certificates issued before 20th January 2025 are still valid and no need to re-apply it. The certificate can be used for import and sell activities in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
Changes to the agency’s name and logo will only affect certificates issued on 20th January 2025 and thereafter because the regulation of PERMEN KOMDIGI No. 1 year 2025 only regulates the future activities.
Labeling comparison
The significant impact of this regulation is definitely the change in certificate number format and logo listed on the certificate and QR code. However, it should be noted that the change in certificate number and logo does not change the labeling requirements and its installation.
As previously mentioned, there are differences in the certificate number format due to the agency name change from SDPPI to DJID, as follows:

In addition to the certificate number format, there is a change in the ministry logo on the QR code. It changes from KOMINFO to KOMDIGI logo, as follows:
