New DJID logo: symbolizing the strong and equitable digital connectivity

The Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID) officially launched its new DJID logo as part of its unifying identity and new spirit following its reorganization in early 2025. This launch marks a new chapter in DJID’s journey, which now plays a strategic role in building an equitable, strong, and sustainable digital infrastructure in Indonesia.

This momentum marks the completion of the reorganization transition phase of the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure and ready to step forward with a new spirit represented in the new DJID logo. With the new logo and structure, the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure can focus on implementing its strategic mandate in the digital infrastructure sector in a more solid and targeted way.

The launch of the new DJID logo was led by the Director General of Digital Infrastructure, Mr Wayan Toni Supriyanto, and opened by the DJID Secretary, Mr Indra Maulana. The event was also attended online by members of DJID officers, team leaders, and heads of SFR monitoring centers from across Indonesia.

In his remarks, the Director General of Digital Infrastructure emphasized that the launch of the new logo is not merely a visual appearance, but a reflection of a new spirit in supporting Indonesia’s digital sovereignty and independence.

As already mentioned before, the new DJID logo is more than just a visual appearance. In government institutions, a logo is also interpreted as a symbol of honor, including this new DJID logo. This new logo symbolizes a shared vision and mission in the process of working to build digital infrastructure in Indonesia.

This new identity and spirit enable the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure to present and show organization values reflected the DJID’s bigger mission of building a strong, equitable, and sustainable national digital infrastructure to support Indonesia’s path to digital sovereignty and independence.

Philosophy of the new DJID logo

The new DJID logo contains symbolic elements that represent the key values of the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure:

  • “DJ”: The first two letters “DJ” represent a wave or signal symbol, representing the meaning of connectivity, in deeper way “DJ” means the essence of connectivity in digital infrastructure development.
  • Yellow and red dots: Two intersecting dots in yellow and red colors, represent the digital symbol where yellow representing enthusiasm and red representing energy.
  • “ID”: The last two letters “ID” refer to the abbreviation for Digital Infrastructure, or in more broadly way, ID represents the abbreviation of Indonesia.

This new identity also marks the completion of the transitional phase of its reorganization. Duties and functions previously under the Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Informatics (SDPPI) and the Directorate General of Post and Informatics Implementation (PPI) have now been integrated under Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID).

Duties of the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID)

For additional information, referring to regulation of PERMEN KOMDIGI No 1 year 2025, the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure is authorized to carry out the following functions:

  • Formulating policies in the field of digital infrastructure.
  • Implementing policies in the field of digital infrastructure.
  • Monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting in the field of digital infrastructure.
  • Administering the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure.
  • Other functions assigned by the Minister of Communication and Digital.

For your information, the conformity certification of telecommunication devices is specifically within the authority and responsibility of the sub-function under the DJID, called the Directorate of Digital Infrastructure Services.

What impact will the new DJID logo has?

The launch of the new DJID logo will have no impact on the telecommunications device certification process in Indonesia. The launch of the new DJID logo also does not affect product labeling requirements.

Telecommunications devices that already have DJID certificates are still required to affix labels in accordance with applicable regulations. Importers need to affix the DJID label on their telecommunications devices. Following are components of the DJID label need to be affixed:

  • Certificate number and PLG ID
  • QR code
  • Warning sign

Information on the certificate number and PLG ID can be seen on a copy of the DJID certificate. The QR code contains at least the following information:

  • Certificate number
  • PLG ID
  • Equipment Name
  • Brand
  • Model/type
  • Country of origin
