New regulation [Draft] Device Which Operate in 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency Band and/or Radio Freq Band 5.8 GHz

[DRAFT] Regulation of The Minister of Communications and Information about technical requirement of telecommunications equipment and device which operate in radio frequency 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz.

Indonesia Authority will change the regulation of Applicable Standards for WLAN Devices in Indonesia  in the near futures.  Some of technical requirement are as below:

Technical requirement for telecommunication equipment / devices which operate in 2.4 GHz:

a. Frequency Range : 2,4000 ~ 2,4835 MHz
b. Modulation Type : FSK/BPSK/QPSK/QAM/CCK
c. Access method : TDMA/FDMA/CDMA/CSMA- CA
d. Multiplexing techniques : OFDM/TDM/FDM
e. Technology : DSSS/FHSS
f. Bit Error Rate : 10-8
g. Spurious All Band : ≤ – 20 dBc
h. Receiver sensitivity : ≤ – 58 dBm
i. Radiated Emission Limit : 500 μV/m
j. Temperature : 0° C s/d 60° C
k. Interface : IEEE 802.3 compliant (Ethernet)/E1/T1
l. Hopping Frequency : ≥ 75 hopping frequency
m. Average time of occupancy : ≤ 0,4 s within a period of 30 s
n. Maximum output power : 100 mW (direct connect)

Technical requirement for telecommunication equipment / devices which operate in 5,8 GHz:
1. Technical Specification

a. Frekuensi Range: 5.725 – 5.825 MHz
b. Modulation Type : FSK/BPSK/QPSK/QAM/CCK
c. Access Methods : TDMA/FDMA/CDMA/CSMA- CA
d. Multiplexing technique : OFDM/TDM/FDM
e. Technologt : DSSS/FHSS
f. CNR for 1×10-6 symbol error rate : ≤ 10 dB
g. Spurious All Band : ≤ – 50 dBc
h. Receiver Sensitivity : ≤ – 58 dBm
i. Radiated Emission Limit : 500 μV/m
j. Temperature : 0° C s/d 60° C
k. Interface : IEEE 802.3 compliant (Ethernet)/E1/T1
l.  Hopping Frequency : ≥ 75 hopping frequency
m. Maximum Bandwidth : 20 MHz (FCC 15.)
n. Average time of occupancy : ≤ 0,4 s within period of 30 s
o. Maximum output power
1) P-P (Point-to-Point) Applications:

  • a) Maximum mean EIRP : 36 dBm;
  • b) Maximum mean EIRP density : 23 dBm/MHz

2) P-to-MP (Point-to-Multipoint) Applications:

  • a) Maximum mean EIRP : 36 dBm;
  • b) Maximum mean EIRP density : 23 dBm/MHz

3) Mesh Applications:

  • a) Maximum mean EIRP : 33 dBm;
  • b) Maximum mean EIRP density : 20 dBm/MHz

4) AP-MP (Any point-to-Mulitipoint) Applications:

  • a) Maximum mean EIRP : 33 dBm;
  • b) Maximum mean EIRP density : 20 dBm/MHz
